The mode won’t just be on mobile, however, as The Yard will be in the console version Madden 21 when it launches on August 28. In the app, players will be able to create a player and play in the new The Yard: Underground mode which is a single-player mode featuring 5-on-5 gameplay. The first version of the mode is available starting Wednesday, August 5 in the Madden NFL 21 Mobile app. Touted by EA Sports as a “fun, dynamic mode”, The Yard will allow players to experience a quicker, more fast-paced form of backyard football.
